High cloud shows how much of the sky is covered by cloud high above, such as cirrus, in percent.

How to read it

High cloud does not affect the flying directly, but it shades the ground. A thick veil cuts the sunshine and with it the heating that drives the thermals. It is drawn as a translucent white veil over the map.
